Job Description

  • Maintain the General Ledger including monthly bank reconciliations, other balance sheet account reconciliations, accruals/reversals, intercompany balances, depreciation and amortization schedules, and allocations
  • Lead Financial Reporting with Monthly/YTD Income Statement Variance Analysis (budget vs. actual and prior year); Performance Measure calculations; Quarterly Bonus payout calculation; Dashboard/Scorecard; Monthly Cash Flows & Forecasts; Balance Sheet Reporting; and bank required Debt Compliance Reports
  • Assist Tax Compliance including Monthly Sales Tax Filing, managing vendor W-9s, annual reporting of 1099s and 1042s, annual review of GSEC’s Federal Tax Return, and assist tax department as needed
  • Lead the Budgeting Process – build the budget, present to management, and roll out to department managers
  • Income Statement and Fixed/Variable Cost Analysis and variance explanations, business acquisitions analysis, investment payout analysis.
  • Maintain banking relationships, cash flow reporting and forecasting, and debt payments
  • Assist Directors of Food and Beverage, Marketing as well as the Equine Operations Manager with contracts, invoices, and profit analysis by horse show or other event. Generate other financial reports for business analysis as required.
  • Budget and analyze Capital Projects and Repairs/Maintenance; procure materials as needed.
  • Invoicing customers, shows, layovers, storage and office tenants, and marketing/sponsors.
  • Support Senior Accountant with Accounts Receivable Process: match payments to invoices, reconcile differences, deposits, review aging, and collect o/s payment; keep managers informed of their outstanding receivables.
  • Support Senior Account with Accounts Payable Process – preparing vendor bills for payment with proper approval and coding; issue checks; generate positive pay files; process checks for delivery or mail.
  • Inventory tracking for shavings, hay, feed, prizes, food and beverage; create delivery schedule and manage deliveries, inventory balances, and relationships with vendor.
