ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Prepare cost and labor estimates for job opportunities
- Analyze blue prints, specifications, proposals and other documentation to prepare cost and labor estimates
- Provide a standardized quote using program pricing, accounting for variations as needed
- Prepare estimates used for management purposes, such as planning, organizing and scheduling work
- Review estimates with the Production Department on a regular basis to ensure accurate analysis of cost of materials and labor
- Maintain current knowledge of materials and labor costs and manufacturing methods
- Prepare estimates for selecting vendors and subcontractors and determine cost effectiveness
