Job Description

As a Lean Agile Portfolio Lead, you will drive the lean agile portfolio management approach for the Chief Data and Digital Office, in line with SAFe and other scaled agile best practice frameworks. You will be responsible for the Setup and management of the Agile PMO for Digital Transformation portfolio. You will be responsible for the definition of lean agile portfolio principles, process & practices including championing a culture of continuous improvement and flow of value.


· Design and implement a roadmap for the adoption of SAFe / Scaled Agile best practices within  Digital Transformation Portfolio

· Define operational and development value streams, OKRs and KPIs and utilise these as a mechanism for defining epics/enablers to be prioritised as part of the portfolio Kanban

· Support in the development of lean business cases through MVPs, business outcome hypotheses, agile forecasting and estimating

· Implement best practice rhythms and cadences utilizing techniques such as Program Increments and PI planning events, IP iterations, Agile Release Trains, System Demos etc.

· Maintain the portfolio roadmap as an effective tool to communicate the larger picture to the rest of the enterprise, and identify possible interdependencies with other workstreams

· Ensure stakeholders are identified, engaged, and supported effectively through the changes driven by the portfolio

· Implement the appropriate governance to support the execution and value capture of the portfolio, drive resource optimisation and alignment across all initiatives

· Provide project portfolio reporting capabilities, tracking overall performance, value capture and benefits realisation​

Skills and experience:

· Successful experience in implementing multi-year SAFe and Lean Portfolio Management initiatives in large enterprises

· Several years of experience in delivering projects using agile methodologies as an RTE or Scrum Master

· Several years of experience in working on large-scale, complex, global change/transformation portfolios, preferably in an agile capacity, or in other project management roles

· Experience with a bi-model delivery environment (i.e. both waterfall and agile methodologies), and understanding how to operate agile portfolios within this environment

· Demonstrable experience coaching others in agile, product and project management best practices, either formally or informally

· Experienced in bridging the gap between technical and business stakeholders, driving both with a relentless focus on end customer value

· Ability to work in diverse multi-cultural, matrix corporate cultures at a global scale

· Capacity to motivate and communicate at all the levels to lead the Change

· Proven experience with MS Project Online or equivalent PPM tools as an owner or administrator

· Advanced user of SharePoint (site owner / administrator), Excel, PowerBI, Microsoft Teams, Flow and PowerApps


· Bachelor’s degree, SAFe Lean Portfolio Management certification, SAFe SPC and/or Implementing SAFe certification

· Other agile or project management certifications are a plus (e.g. RTE, Product Owner, Scrum Master, DevOps etc.)
