Mechanical Design Product Engineer - Temp/Contract/Project
Owner of Thermal Labeling Company looking to hire a Engineer that can come into and re-engineer some old printers that print labels
Thermal printing, digital printing process which produces a printed text/image on heating coated thermochromic paper, or thermal paper when the paper passes over the thermal print head.
The concept is similar to the seismic thermal plotter but a printer in this instant produces the text/ image on the thermal paper
These printers heat the labels that are then put on carboard boxes (that we see when we get anything from Amazon, etc)
Owner wants to make new printers that are more efficient because old ones are 30 years old and getting parts can be difficult
Flexible on hours per week and rate.
Could be as little as 1 hour a day or 20 hours a week depending on person. Great project for someone who is a retired engineer.
