- Process payrolls to ensure all employees, tax authorities, benefit providers, and other third parties are paid accurately and on time across multiple entities.
- Approving payroll adjustments, reconciliation of corresponding ledger accounts and posting of necessary journal entries.
- Processing and reconciliation of tax deposits, quarterly and yearly tax reporting including filing of W-2s.
- Being the main point of contact with our payroll provider, ADP.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders (HR, Finance), manage ad hoc queries from employees especially in relation to employee payments.
- Generation of ad hoc reporting for internal stakeholders (HR, Finance).
- Participate in financial periodic audits, employee benefits audits, annual employee benefits selections, annual 401k company match audits and true-up process, non-discrimination testing, among others.
- Develop/maintain good relationships and serve as key liaison between the human resources, treasury, and finance department to maintain accurate employee payroll information and problem-solve issues as and when they arise.
- Recommends changes in methods or procedures to improve internal procedures, the efficiency/accuracy of the payroll function.
- Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures compliance with agencies legislation regarding employment and employee matters.
- Responsible for continuous improvement projects, reconciliation of employee data from ADP records, payroll implementation, and any other defined projects.
Required Skills and Experience:
- A minimum of seven (7) years of payroll experience in a fast-paced corporate environment of more than 300 employees with multistate payrolls.
- Advanced knowledge in the following areas of Payroll; processing, corrections, FLSA, OT, taxes (multi-state and reciprocity), employee payroll tax maintenance, expats, non-health and welfare deductions, gross-to-net calculations, taxable fringe benefit, expense reimbursement, ST & LT disability recording, non-voluntary term final pay requirements, year-end W-2s, W-2cs, and other related payroll tax tasks.
- Must be proficient in working with Excel, performing data manipulations confidently using different Excel tools and have a good eye for details to be able to spot errors whilst working under pressure.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now.
- Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with success as an approachable and influential advisor at all levels of an organization.
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize assignments, and to meet critical and established deadlines; Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
