Job Description

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Technical or Engineering discipline preferred
  • 3-5 years working in Quality or Engineering
  • Experience working in Aerospace manufacturing preferred
  • Intimate knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 requirements
  • Must read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Must have a high sense of urgency and the ability to meet schedule requirements in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong ability to review and understand customer specifications as they pertain to product processing.

Responsibilities include:

  • Strong FAIR documentation knowledge, as well as inspection plan creation to meet customer requirements
  • Applies quality principles in the areas of (1) design, (2) incoming material, (3) production control, (4) product evaluation, (5) program performance, (6) reliability, (7) inventory control and / or (8) research and development as they apply to product or process quality for make and / or buy products
  • Performs technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models / designs, drawings and procedures
  • Collaborates with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place
  • Engages in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective/preventive action
  • Ensures corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements
  • Develops strategies and systems designed to improve internal and/or supplier performance and productivity
  • Evaluates quality systems for deficiency identification and correction
  • Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts product quality tests, performs statistical analysis to assess products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications
  • Engages in supplier selection process
  • Provide documentation to customers regarding UPPAP, Root Cause Analysis, Process Qualifications, etc...
  • Administer company Metrology program
  • Provide assistance to Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Sub Contractors to ensure organizational compliance to customer contractual and regulatory requirements
  • Support audits and visits including internal, vendor, customer, and 3rd party
