Senior Director of Solutions Marketing

As the lead marketing liaison to the product team, you are tech savvy enough to understand our products and platform, then translate your product knowledge into solutions that address our customer’s challenges across a wide range of use cases.

You and your team will own our solution messaging, and deliver it for use with a range of internal and external audiences including marketing, sales, and customer success internally and with customers, prospects, analysts and press externally.

The role includes leading our Analyst Relations. As an ambassador and enthusiast of our solutions, you will build relationships with key analysts and help them understand how we help our over 2,000 customers deliver great experiences to their customers. You will own the delivery of product information for analyst surveys so that our solutions are well represented as leading solutions in their resulting reports.

Key Responsibilities

● Creator and owner of solution messaging for the suite of products

● Inspire and lead a small team to bring solutions benefits and capabilities to life through engaging narratives and high-impact marketing materials

● Lead the solutions marketing team to understand and analyze buyer needs, the latest trends, and competitive positioning to inform messaging, go-to-market campaign themes, and content development

● Translate features into powerful messaging that describes how they deliver value to customers

● Own competitive intelligence to understand the market landscape and optimize our messaging and positioning to play to our strengths

● Conduct research to understand all aspects of the market including audiences, trends, and competitors -- using this knowledge to create deliverables such as personas and battlecards to support sales and marketing

● Bi-directional collaboration with product management to understand the product roadmap and create marketing messaging, and to feed market insights to the product team to shape roadmap priorities

● Develop strong relationships with key analyst firms

● Organize regular analyst inquiries and briefings

● Manage analyst surveys and collaborate with SMEs across the business to gather technical responses

● Work closely with the Brand & Communications team to ensure that solution messaging is aligned with our core messages, values, and voice

● Work closely with product operations to plan product launches, owning the messaging and copy writing for support materials. Coordinate any launch marketing resource requirements from the content, communications, demand generation and customer marketing teams.

● Work with sales enablement to transfer and reinforce knowledge by organizing and delivering live training sessions, developing learning courses, and creating reference materials like sales playbooks to ensure the revenue team is prepared to properly deliver messages to buyers.

Desired Skills and Experience

● Visionary storyteller with 10+ years of experience in solutions marketing, positioning and messaging

● Tech B2B solution marketing experience, ideally with expertise in a scaling and fast-growing SaaS environment preferred

● 5+ years leading other solution/product marketers

● Ability to work independently while also leading a team, collaborating with other teams as necessary

● Messaging development is your passion and superpower. You describe value, outcomes, and solutions, not features

● Highly organized with the ability to work on many projects with moving timelines

● Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills in front of customers, sales, and executive audiences

● Detail and results-oriented; skilled at both planning and hands-on execution

● Excellent copywriting and communication skills

● High emotional intelligence and empathy. The key to successful product marketing is the ability to understand the challenges that team members across the organization face and work with them to reduce friction and silos to achieve alignment around initiatives.

● Expertise in Sales Enablement preferred

● Analyst Relations (Gartner, Forrester, Aragon, etc) experience preferred

● Hands-on experience with Salesforce, Monday, Asana, Crayon and sales enablement platforms preferred

● Bachelor’s degree in relevant field such as marketing or communications OR commensurate experience and certifications
