Formulation Fragrance Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: Plans, executes and directs the technical and administrative activities of the Preps formulation development team involved in the Care division in accordance with the strategic plan. Takes on the role of program leader when assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to the following: • Provides project direction, definition, execution and monitors diverse functions within projects.

• Provides leadership in the design of new formulations in conjunction with process engineering to meet present and future needs, while concurrently working with other RD&E functions, Quality, Marketing, Legal and Operations to meet EPC goals.

• Coordinates development of formulation changes for manufacturing improvements. Engages in feasibility studies to provide for formulation improvements to meet consumer needs and consumer research directions.

• Directs, coordinates all activities within the formulation/ process laboratories, prototyping facilities including filling stations, stability labs and the interaction and use of pilot labs (internal and external).

• Interacts with all production lines/ facilities engaged in EPC activities relative to shave preps.

• Directs all immediate subordinates in performance of their assigned functions so that plans and programs are carried out in accordance with EPC strategic plans.

• Attends technical seminars, meetings, etc. Keeps informed on the latest developments on related engineering, manufacturing technology. Participates in outside technical and educational associations, societies, etc. • Takes on role as program or project manager as needed. • Provides technical support to internal or external based manufacturing site to resolve or improve formulation issues to ensure uninterrupted operations.

FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY Prepares and maintains operating budgets within areas of responsibility Approves purchase requests and invoices for project related spending.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: • B.S. degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering • M.S. degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering preferred • MBA degree desirable If you are interested in finding out more about this position, please send resume to:
