Sales Manager

Regional Sales Manager

Employee will manage all current and future professional customers in Selected Region. His/Her objectives are to expand sales company of Sanitary Supply products in the region by working with the established sales force and trainers, establishing new distribution, working with existing distributors as well as developing key end-user customers. He/ She will prepare an annual sales plan and forecast for the region which will be implemented.

Duties and Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

SALES MANAGEMENT:

Forecast revenues by customer and product for the territory by October of each year for the following year. Modify the forecast as needed. Submit an annual expense budget for the territory, including rebates, allowances, commissions, travel costs and all expenses in the territory. · Submit an annual written sales plan (revenue, distribution, promotions, & sales force activities) for the territory.

· Submit sales plans and reporting for the territory per the company Sales Manual.

· Manage projects in a weekly project form in coordination with Customer Service, Inside Sales and Marketing.

· Submit all pricing deviations for approval to the Vice President of Sales.

· Maintain written records of all customer agreements and submit records to the Sales Coordinator.

· Utilize the company CRM system (Salesforce.com) to manage opportunity pipelines

· Negotiate with distributors and end-users within pre-approved limits.

Collaborate with all other facets of the organization (operations, finance, R&D) as needed Perform Manage key accounts (defined distributors and end-users) to meet the stated goals Coordinates and participates in sales forecasting (MRP)activities Perform all other functions as may be required from time to time

INDEPENDENT REPRESENTATIVE (REPS) MANAGEMENT:

· Manage the reps per the company policy and process, including annual and monthly revenue targets and activity goals, monthly reviews/previews, new account targets, end- user targets and revenue goals.

· Recommend Hiring and firing to the VP of Sales

Follow through on Rep leads using the company CRM (Salesforce.com) Recommend annual commission rate changes for the rep force

SALES:

Meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales objectives by distribution channel, product category and end-user segments. Build relationships with key distributor and end-user customers Grow revenues of existing and new customers, including distributors, wholesalers, buying groups, house accounts and OEM customers per annual territory objectives Implement all aspects of regional, buying group and national trade shows, including organization, build up, manning and break down

Negotiate contracts and agreements with customers Conduct distributor & end-user seminars, training and product installations for all existing and new products and cleaning systems

Conduct sales meetings with Distributor sales forces Present high level strategic “cleaning for health”, “ROI” and “green cleaning” sales concepts to upper management at end-user and distributor customers. Train customers with product systems and products on site, including late night demos in customer facilities Carry samples and products to facilitate demonstrations as necessary

Conduct pilot sales programs in limited regions for new products and cleaning systems Be an expert on product Cleaning processes and competitive processes within the industry Join regional and local trade and end-user associations as required Assist Finance in credit checks and bad debt collection as needed Travel as required

MARKETING:

Provide support and market assistance for competitive and product research Initiate, monitor and report on product tests with select customers for new products Provide feedback to marketing on advertising and marketing campaigns Make suggestions for new products or promotions Monitor competitors for new products, campaigns, and sales and marketing activities. Participate in associations and training sessions to further understanding of the market and industry dynamics and trends.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

A BS/BA degree A minimum of 5 years sales experience. Experience selling janitorial and/or sanitation B-to-B products

Experience managing a growing regional sales force. Experience in managing independent reps. Working knowledge of CRM systems

Proven track record of continual double digit sales growth and sales management experience. Extensive experience in the Sanitary Supply or a similar business to business industry in the US Excellent communication, negotiation, organizational and computer skills are a fundamental requirement for this position.

Frequent Travel (60%+) for customer appointments, trade shows and rep management Develop a cohesive and supporting relationship with the sales team Must have experience and comfort with product demonstrations

Must work effectively with Senior-level executives, leaders and staff of affiliated institutions and enterprises. Must have strong interpersonal skills, maturity and good judgment and be capable of communicating with a diverse range of individuals.
