Employee Development Coordinator

This role that will focus on the development, implementation and facilitation of training/development and educational programs.

The role will seek out and support the best practices that will enrich our employees overall development, provide meaningful training to broaden our employees skill sets and to facilitate events that will improve our operational effectiveness.

• Plan, organize, and direct development programs/training for employees.

• Coordinate a series of internal/external training events; ensure new/existing employees receive compliance training where necessary, new hire orientation, technical based training (PTAC), onboarding program, department specific training and other internal/external training/development programs as required.

• Facilitate new hire orientations to ensure new hires from all locations gain the exposure to our business and factory operations.

• Strategically work with all operations to continually perform a needs analysis and to identify developmental and training needs.

• Develop plans to propose areas of improvement and assist to execute those plans.

• Facilitate our own internal process improvement events.

• Facilitate the movement of employees from location to location and supporting their developmental needs.

• Coordinate and support the educational reimbursement program. • Participate in the succession planning process and support our top talent developmental initiatives.

• Participate in the performance improvement process to improve employee performance.

• Develop the necessary means to track developmental and training needs. Database management.

• Develop the means to document and inventory developmental and training events which took place.

• Assist with the department budgeting process, track expenditures and approve all developmental programs. Forecast annual training events for all locations and provide support.

• Develop management training programs that will allow our current managers to become better managers.

• Develop a monthly training calendar of events and share internally.

• Provide a menu of ongoing training and developmental opportunities which can be share across the company.

• Evaluate developmental and training programs to ensure program effectiveness.

• Organize and develop training procedure manuals and materials as needed.

• Organize a shared service approach to the organization.

• Develop and maintain technical and developmental bulletins which allow for sharing of best practices.

5-7 years in the Human Resources field in Employee Development with at least 3 years in training or Employee Developmental role. Should have a manufacturing background with exposure to corporate and field HR environments.
