The successful Regional Account Manager for the Northeast in HPC (Home Personal Care), is responsible for the delivery of regional sales and PC margin in the Home and Personal Care business in the assigned territory (East Coast US). In this role you will collaborate closely with all organization functions (Marketing, Product Management, R&D, Regulatory and other support functions) in order to achieve targets. You will be accountable for the implementation of sales and marketing business plan strategies, in regional area of responsibility/country so that product and volume potential can be realized.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve agreed financial and commercial objectives for the assigned customers in the defined territory.
  • Participate actively in development and implementation of strategic and tactical marketing and sales business plans that increase gross profit and expand market share.
  • Maintain and develop major customers by providing commercial and technical support and creating customer visit reports and regular sales summaries and market information.
  • Drive new business opportunities and implements actions for their delivery (communicate through SFDC).
  • Develop accurate forecasting and demand planning.
  • Maximize the profitability of sales through thorough implementation of selling prices, MOC, MOV and PC2.
  • Optimization of cash flow through management payment terms and overdues.
  • Develop on an on-going basis, market intelligence required to gain competitive information as well as identify new applications for existing products in order to gain a competitive edge.
  • Provide customer with “best in class” customer care in order meet business plan objectives.
  • Keep abreast of new developments within marketplace so that research and development can create profitable products.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering/manufacturing, chemistry, biology or other science based technical disciplines.
  • Must have 15 plus years of experience in a Regional Sales role in the chemical manufacturing industry.
  • 10 – 15 years plus of Home Personal Care experience required!
  • 10 plus years hunting and farming – this is both a sales/business development role as well as a account management role maintaining and growing stakeholder business sales & accounts.
  • Experience with biocides and additives experience, strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and management skills
  • Must be located in any of the Northeast region of the US demographic (NY, NJ, DE, PA, CT, NH, VT, RI, MA).
  • Company car is provided; must be willing to travel to customer sites – up to 60% travel likely.
